RF Academy
Getting started

Your first session

Create an account, claim a membership if a free place is available, and try a short experiment. You can start in your browser.

1. Create an account

Sign up with one of the available options. If you use email and a password, follow the verification link before signing in. Google sign-in uses your verified Google email.

2. Claim your membership

Open your account. If a free place is available, select “Claim free lifetime membership.” When it succeeds, you will see your founding-member number. Signing up alone does not reserve a place.

The first 100 successful claims are free forever under the free membership terms. No card is required.

3. Try the Signal & power explorer

Open the experiment and set 1 V peak across 50 Ω. Predict the power, then check the result. Double the amplitude and compare. This calculation runs in your browser.

4. Save your notes

Write down your prediction and what you learned, then save. Your notes and progress are kept in your account. You need an internet connection to save them.

Next, follow the learning path or take the starting diagnostic to help choose a topic.

When do I need extra software?

The lessons, browser simulations and practice questions work on the website. A laptop or desktop gives you more room for plots and longer exercises.

Downloadable Python, MATLAB, circuit, FPGA and CAD labs run on your computer. Follow the software setup guide to see what your chosen lab needs, then get the files from the engineering toolkit. Some programs need a separate license.

Downloaded results stay on your computer. They are not added to your website account automatically. Physical experiments also need the equipment listed in the lab instructions.

Keep a backup

Use Study plan & backup to export your saved website records. Back up downloaded lab files separately, and use the same account when switching devices.
